Ways to Give

Bound Together relies on donations from individuals, community service groups , corporations and foundations to fund our programs. We receive no state or federal funding. As a 501(c)3 organization, your donation is 100% tax deductible to the extent provided by law.

In-Kind Gifts

Help us stretch our budget by donating In-Kind Gifts to Bound Together. These can be for goods or services, such as items to support the day to day operating expenses or support of fund raising events i.e silent auction items, professional services, office equipment and supplies, snacks for the children etc. You will also receive a separate acknowledgment and receipt.

Honorary and Memorial Gifts

Celebrate special moments and people in your life by making a gift to Bound Together. When a honorary or memorial gift is made, a card is sent to the person or family of the person in whose name the gift is made. You will also receive a separate acknowledgment and receipt.

Matching Gifts

Double or even triple your gift with a matching gift. Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees and some companies event match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. For more information, contact your human resources office or find out if your company has a matching gift program online.

Sponsorship Opportunities – Bound Together Partner

Bound Together has many different events and areas where a donor can specify how they would like to see their funds utilized. i.e learning devices, the purchase of curriculum, celebration parties for the children etc. throughout the year. Securities, IRA’s 401K’s, and similar retirement plans

Gifts of appreciated securities such as stocks, mutual funds, and bonds can provide attractive benefits. An outright gift of long-term appreciated securities (securities held for more than a year) avoids capital gains taxes and in most cases, the donor obtains a charitable income tax deduction equal to the market value of the securities. Partner with Kroger

Bound Together is part of the Kroger’s Community Rewards program. If you have a Kroger Plus Card and live in Michigan, you can create an account and select Bound Together in the Community Rewards section of your account setting. Within 7-10 days of registering your reward card online, your purchases will begin counting toward a rebate for Bound Together. If you cannot register online, call 1-877-745-7444 to learn about alternative sign up methods. Your designated preference for Bound Together must be renewed May 1, 2013.

Which products on AmazonSmile are eligible for charitable donations?

Tens of millions of products on AmazonSmile are eligible for donations. You will see eligible products marked “Eligible for AmazonSmile donation” on their product detail pages. Recurring Subscribe-and-Save purchases and subscription renewals are not currently eligible.

Can I use my existing Amazon.com account on AmazonSmile?

Yes, you use the same account on Amazon.com and AmazonSmile. Your shopping cart, Wish List, wedding or baby registry, and other account settings are also the same.

How do I select a charitable organization to support when shopping on AmazonSmile?

On your first visit to AmazonSmile, you need to select a charitable organization to receive donations from eligible purchases before you begin shopping. We will remember your selection, and then every eligible purchase you make on AmazonSmile will result in a donation.

Can I change my charity?

Yes, you can change your charity any time. Your AmazonSmile purchases after the change count towards your newly selected charity. To change your charity, sign in to smile.amazon.com on your desktop or mobile phone browser and simply select “Change your Charity” in “Your Account.”

What charities can I choose from?

You can choose from almost one million eligible 501(c)(3) public charitable organizations.

What if my selected charity does not register to participate in the AmazonSmile program or becomes ineligible?

If an organization does not register to participate or becomes ineligible, you will have a chance to select a different organization or we will redistribute donations earned among other organizations receiving donations.

If I represent a charitable organization, how can I learn more about registering my organization for AmazonSmile?

Go to org.amazon.com to learn how to register your organization to receive donations.

How much of my purchase does Amazon donate?

The AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price from your eligible AmazonSmile purchases. The purchase price is the amount paid for the item minus any rebates and excluding shipping & handling, gift-wrapping fees, taxes, or service charges. From time to time, we may offer special, limited time promotions that increase the donation amount on one or more products or services or provide for additional donations to charitable organizations. Can I receive a tax deduction for amounts donated from my purchases on AmazonSmile?

Donations are made by the AmazonSmile Foundation and are not tax deductible by you.
