First Monday

FunDay Monday is our newest addition to program at Bound Together! With program partners assisting us on successive Mondays each month, we’re working to bring experiential learning that’s fun right to our students.

Be a maker!  Pontiac Creative Arts Center will be giving our kids an opportunity to try out various kinds of art, whether it’s paper, paint, or clay!  We’ll meet local Pontiac artists and maybe get to walk over to PCAC to try things out in their studios, too.

Second Monday

4-H is all about exploration, and we are lucky to have Ms. Cheyenne coming to share computer coding and robotics with us!  (Cute little guys called “spheroes” –balls that we can program to do stuff!)  This super STEM project is supported by a grant from Apple - and we’re working on building a 4-H club, too!

So:  what’s some of the science behind handwashing?  What can we learn about microbes and health with a couple of pieces of bread?  We’ll be finding out the answers to these questions and more as Dr. Kyeorda Kemp joins us for some hands-on medical investigation!

Kids need to move and they crave opportunities to play together – and Sheriff PAL can deliver on both!  We’re going to put our gym to good use as our students try out sports and games in a setting that’s about skills, fun and character-building.
